Ryo Asuka

Ryo Asuka is the warrior known as X1 Mask, a prototype Maskman created before the final five-member team was completed. Connected to Commander Sugata's early work with Aura Power, he represents the first stage of the Maskman project.

Unlike the core Maskmen, X1 Mask uses an earlier version of the equipment and fights as a solitary prototype rather than a permanent team member. His appearance shows that Sugata's transformation system was already being tested before Tube's full invasion forced the creation of the modern team.

Although his time in battle is brief, Ryo's role is historically important. As X1 Mask, he stands as a predecessor whose legacy helped shape the warriors who would continue the fight against the Underground Empire Tube.
