Power Rangers Universe FAQ

Countdown to Destruction FAQ

In Countdown to Destruction, Zordon's energy wave purged the universe of evil. So why are there still evil beings in later series?
Zordon never said that his energy wave would destroy all evil everywhere in the universe. Based on what is shown, it is most reasonable to conclude that the wave destroyed the forces actively threatening the universe at that time, not every evil being in existence.

Mirinoi FAQ

There is some debate about the exact location of Mirinoi, and the origins of Scorpius and Trakeena. Was Mirinoi in the Lost Galaxy? Were Scorpius and Trakeena from the Lost Galaxy?
There is not enough official information to answer this definitively, but two broad theories fit the available evidence without causing major contradictions.

Theory A:
Mirinoi was within the Lost Galaxy. Scorpius and his forces attacked Mirinoi there, and portals later allowed the Rangers to travel between Earth and Mirinoi. Magna Defender and the Scorpion Stinger also passed through these portals into our galaxy. Once the portals closed, Terra Venture continued its journey while the Scorpion Stinger followed. This could explain Trakeena's awareness of Astronema and events outside the Lost Galaxy.

Later, the Galaxy Book was brought to Terra Venture and eventually used by Deviot to transport the colony into the Lost Galaxy. Terra Venture was later returned to normal space, and Mirinoi may have been brought back as well, allowing its people to resettle there after Terra Venture crashed on one of its moons.

Theory B:
Mirinoi was always in normal space, far from Earth, and not actually inside the Lost Galaxy. Portals opened near Earth and temporarily linked to Mirinoi, allowing the Rangers to travel there. Scorpius, Magna Defender, and the Scorpion Stinger also passed through those portals into our region of space. Later, Terra Venture was transported into the Lost Galaxy by means of the Galaxy Book, then brought back out near Mirinoi's original location.

Zeo Crystal FAQ

What happened to the Zeo Crystal? Is it connected to the Turbo Powers?
There is no direct evidence that the Zeo Crystal was used to create the Turbo Powers. Any theory claiming that connection is speculative. The appearance of both Zeo and Turbo powers in Forever Red suggests they were separate power sources.

Ninja and Shogun Zords FAQ

What happened to the Ninja Zords and the Shogun Zords?
In A Zeo Beginning, Tommy says, "Now that Ninjor is back at the temple, and the Zords are gone, we're gonna need help." That is the only real statement the series gives. Exactly how they were lost is unclear, but they were apparently gone or inaccessible by the time the Zeo era began, possibly due to the effects of Master Vile's manipulation of time.

Divatox and Dimitria FAQ

Was there a connection between Divatox and Dimitria?
The series strongly implies that they were sisters. The evidence includes their shared actress, repeated attention to their rivalry, Dimitria's missing sister, and Divatox's appearance after purification. It was never stated outright, but the intended connection seems clear.

Dragonzord FAQ

What happened to Dragonzord? Should it still be usable?
Dragonzord draws power from the Dragon Coin. It does not necessarily require a constant direct link, but it ultimately depends on that source for continued function. A fully powered Dragonzord can still operate independently for a time, but if the Dragon Coin is permanently destroyed, Dragonzord would eventually lose power and become inoperable.

Kimberly: "What about Tommy? Will his Dragonzord be able to go through another fight?"
Zordon: "The Dragonzord must now conserve what energy it has left. Just as Tommy's powers periodically fail him, so it shall be with the Dragonzord."

Adam morph FAQ

How did Adam morph in Always a Chance?
Adam used the Mastodon Power Coin, not the Ninja Power Coin that Goldar destroyed. The Mastodon Coin was never shown to be destroyed, though it was damaged. It apparently retained enough energy for one more morph.

Lost Galaxy date FAQ

When did Lost Galaxy take place?
The simplest answer is that it took place in the year it aired. Nothing in the series clearly contradicts that.

Forever Red FAQ

How did the Red Rangers get their powers back in Forever Red?
The episode never explains it directly. The point of Forever Red was to unite the Red Rangers for a major anniversary story, not to stop and explain every restored power set. Rangers have regained powers before, so it is reasonable to accept that something happened off-screen that allowed them to return.

Additional FAQ

Which villains were created for the American version rather than adapted directly from Sentai footage?
Examples include Lord Zedd, the Z-Putties, the Tengas, Ivan Ooze, Divatox, the Piranhatrons, the Putra Pods, Dark Specter, Astronema, the Quantrons, Scorpius, Trakeena, the Stingwingers, Ransik, Master Org, Lothor, Mesagog, Elsa, and the Tyrannodrones.

Which heroes or supporting characters were original to the American version?
Notable examples include Zordon, Alpha 5, Dulcea, Alpha 6, Dimitria, Lerigot, and the Titanium Ranger. D.E.C.A. and Terra Venture were also American-created concepts, and Princess Shayla was adapted differently from her Sentai counterpart.

Where are the soundtracks, toys, and pictures?
They were moved into the Images section, which became part of the RangerGallery. The toy material was also folded into that area.

Where can I buy Sentai videos or DVDs?
Traditionally, fans found them through auction and bidder sites. Availability varies, and older unofficial releases often had poor subtitles.

Why are there more than six Dekarangers?
In addition to the core team, Dekaranger also features DekaMaster, DekaBreak, and a brief appearance by DekaGold in the movie. Whether all of them count equally depends on how broadly someone defines the team lineup.

Site FAQ

Why isn't your e-mail address posted?
To avoid spam and an overwhelming amount of unnecessary messages.

Can you help me find a particular toy, item, or collectible?
No. This site is not a store, and it does not have special access to merchandise sources. Your best options are the same places most collectors use, such as auction sites and major online retailers.

How can I contact a particular actor or actress?
I do not know, and I am not professionally affiliated with Power Rangers or its cast.

Why don't you update more often?
This site is maintained independently, and updates happen when time allows. Please be patient and enjoy what is already here.

Can I use images, sounds, or clips from your site?
I would prefer that you not repost material directly from the site. If you absolutely must use something, it is better to modify it rather than simply duplicating it elsewhere unchanged.

What is Sentai, and why didn't this site originally cover it?
Super Sentai is the long-running Japanese television franchise that Power Rangers adapts footage from. Starting with Zyuranger in 1992, Saban combined Sentai action footage with newly shot American footage to create Power Rangers. The original reason for not covering it was simple: this was built as a Power Rangers site first.

Will you add full episode summaries for every series?
Probably not. That would require a major long-term time commitment.

I found a typo or mistake on the site.
With a large archive, some mistakes are inevitable. Minor typos may remain unless they seriously affect the accuracy or usefulness of the content.
