Episode 9: "Unuboreru Naa" (Don't be Vain)

A Mirror flies to the Earth at night and all the pets in Daigo's pet store
are distrubed.
|
|
Daigo finds a peacock feather.
|
|
|
|
|
The next day, Daigo mediates by the beach and feels strange peacock energy. A peacock comes out of nowhere
and then disappears.
|
|
Unsuspecting females gaze at
their reflections and are ingested by the strange mirror.
|
|
|
|
|
Daigo relates his experience to the others.
|
|
Master Kaku tells them of Kujaku, a follower of the Peacock Buddha.
|
|
|
|
|
When a man looks at his reflection in the mirror, he is ingested but then thrown up. He
runs off. The mirro takes his true form of the Mirror Make-Up Artist. The Gorma trio join
him.
|
|
The mirror strikes again, consuming another girl and Daigo kicks the mirror. The mirror
grabs Daigo with its tongue and Daigo transforms. They fight.
|
|
|
|
|
Mirror Make-Up Artist has the best of him until the others arrive.
|
|
He beats them and leaves. Daigo notices familiar energy on him. The Dairanger un-transform
and gather around Daigo.
|
|
|
|
|
Back at the beach, Daigo connects the two energies together and realizes it is Kujaku.
|
|
The monster cuts people's faces through mirros all around town and blow up buildings,
which the others respond to.
|
|
|
|
|
Daigo mediates and calls forth
Kujaku's energy to find the Gorma. |
|
When the peacock appears, he follows it and enters a dimension. He then appears where
the Gorma is.
|
|
|
|
|
Daigo fights the Cotpotros and the monster
once again and breaks the mirror with his Dai Rod with Fork.
|
|
Daigo takes the mirror monster to his illusion dimension and he is surrounded
by the other Dairanger.
|
|
|
|
|
The Gorma brings out a knife and does a confusing illusion technique on the Dairanger, but
Daigo still manages to smash his mirror.
|
|
Mirror Make-Up Artist grows huge and the Dairanger call their beasts and destroy him with
Dairenoh.
|
|
|
|
|
The women are freed and the Dairanger tend to them. Daigo look around and finds Kujaku
on a cliff.
|
|
Kujaku talks to the Dairanger. Daigo shows her the peacock feather, she tells him to keep it.
He is enthralled by her.
|
|

- This begins the long-spanding arc involving Daigo, Kujaku, and Gara.
