| Kaoru Shiba is the real eighteenth head of the Shiba House, a position that Takeru was holding in her place. She is referred to by her vassals and servants as Princess. As the head of the Shiba House, Kaoru is the one who possesses the knowledge of the Sealing Character also known as the Gedou Seal, a Modikara passed along the Shiba bloodline. Because of this, she stayed in hiding while Takeru acted as her kagemusha to keep the Gedoushu away from her. However, she grew tired of hiding, so once she mastered the character in to which to seal Doukoku, she assumes her birthright. Kaoru is very kind and generally easy to work with, though, like Takeru, she tends to hold her emotions back. Her retainer, Tanba, often annoys her with his arrogance and she hits him on the head with her fan. Even tough she does want the vassals to follow her into battle, she quickly realizes that their loyalty and bonds are to Takeru; And are stronger than their commitment to her as the true head of the house. She even accepts Genta as a fellow warrior even though Tanba doesn't acknowledge him as a samurai. As a result, she doesn't reprimand them for going to him. After being injured in battle after the Gedou Seal is rendered useless against Doukoku, Kaoru adopts Takeru into the Shiba House. She then resigns as the head of the Shiba house and creates the Shiba House Disk, paving the way for Takeru to formally become the nineteenth head of the Shiba House. Like Takeru, Kaoru is the Samurai of Fire and becomes Shinken Red and use the Inromaru to become Super Shinken Red. Her secret training lets her effortlessly assume all of the weaponry the team had used before her appearance |
